The foreign ministers of China, Cambodia, and Thailand reached a three-point consensus during a trilateral meeting held in Yuxi city in southwest China’s Yunnan province. The discussions followed a jointly agreed ceasefire and focused on easing tensions and improving relations between Cambodia and Thailand.
The meeting emphasized the importance of maintaining the ceasefire and avoiding any return to hostilities. Participants agreed that progress should move forward steadily through continued communication and consultation, while bilateral relations are restored step by step.
Rebuilding mutual trust was highlighted as a key priority, with all sides noting that Cambodia and Thailand, as neighboring countries, share long-term interests in stability and cooperation. A press communique issued after the talks reaffirmed commitments to strengthen dialogue, consolidate the ceasefire, restore exchanges, rebuild political trust, and support regional peace.
