Thailand has officially launched a nationwide initiative aimed at strengthening protections and support systems for women facing violence. Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul presided over the kick-off event, reinforcing the government’s commitment to ensuring women’s safety and welfare as a national priority.
To drive long-term progress, the Ministry of Interior has been appointed as the lead agency coordinating the initiative. Its extensive presence at the local level is expected to enhance early detection mechanisms, promote awareness, and prevent violence before it occurs. Authorities have been instructed to adopt proactive measures to create safe environments for women and children in every community.
The Prime Minister also directed multiple key agencies, including the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, the Ministry of Public Health, the Royal Thai Police, and local administrative bodies, to integrate information-sharing systems. This coordinated approach aims to ensure rapid, effective assistance and comprehensive protection services for women at risk.
