Vietnam and Russia are looking to deepen their collaboration in human resource development, scientific research, and technology, reflecting a shared commitment to reinforcing their bilateral relations. This was the focal point of discussions held in Hanoi on October 7, where Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Chairman of the Commission for Policy and Strategy of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, met with a delegation from Russia.
The talks emphasized the integration of Russia’s expertise in high technology with Vietnam’s developmental goals, focusing on creating joint research and training initiatives. Both countries identified human resource development as a critical area for long-term cooperation, aiming to establish stronger connections between educational and training institutions. This includes increased exchanges between experts, engineer training programs, and collaborative research efforts.
In addition to education and training, the discussions highlighted several key sectors with potential for expanded cooperation, including science and technology, innovation, energy, and oil and gas. These areas were identified as promising fields for future collaborative efforts, aiming to leverage mutual strengths and meet developmental needs.
The meeting marked a significant step in Vietnam and Russia’s efforts to enhance exchanges and promote substantive cooperation in education, technology, and strategic research. The discussions are part of a broader strategy to strengthen ties and build a more robust partnership between the two nations.
