Thailand is anticipated to experience increased rainfall from October 5 to 8, particularly affecting the Northeast and northern regions, which are expected to see the first substantial rise in precipitation. This change in weather is attributed to shifts in monsoon patterns and wind activity over the Andaman Sea, the Gulf of Thailand, and adjacent areas.
In addition to the intensified rainfall, cooler conditions are forecast for parts of the Northeast. However, upper Thailand might witness fewer showers in the near term, although isolated thunderstorms remain a possibility. The southern regions of Thailand are likely to encounter heavy rainfall, heightening the risk of flooding and other weather-related hazards due to accumulated rainwater.
The meteorological changes are also expected to impact marine conditions, with moderate waves forecasted in the upper Andaman Sea. During thunderstorms, wave heights could increase, prompting marine operators to exercise caution. Authorities have advised avoiding areas where thunderstorms are present to ensure safety.
