Vietnam’s Prime Minister Bolsters Strategic Relations with Successful Russia Trip

Vietnamese Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng has concluded a significant three-day official visit to Russia, returning to Hanoi with a strengthened focus on enhancing bilateral ties. This visit, which coincided with the ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit celebrating 35 years of cooperation between ASEAN and Russia, was pivotal in advancing the partnership between the two nations.

While in Russia, the Prime Minister’s itinerary included participating in key summit sessions and business forums in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan. Crucial discussions took place with Russian President Vladimir Putin and other regional leaders, centering on expanding cooperation in vital sectors such as investment, energy, trade, technology, and industrial development. These talks aimed at forging deeper ties and exploring new opportunities for collaboration.

The Vietnamese delegation also seized the opportunity to engage with prominent Russian organizations and businesses. This interaction included witnessing the signing of several cooperation agreements and celebrating the launch of new direct flight routes between Vietnam and Russia, which are expected to boost connectivity and foster economic exchange.

This visit underscored Vietnam’s dedication to fortifying the ASEAN-Russia Strategic Partnership and elevating the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and Russia. Both nations committed to implementing measures that would deepen collaboration and achieve more substantial outcomes in key sectors, ultimately supporting long-term economic growth and bilateral development.
