Vietnam’s 14th Party Central Committee has commenced its third meeting in Hà Nội, under the direction of Party General Secretary and State President Tô Lâm. The five-day session is set to address the implementation of resolutions from the 14th National Party Congress, aiming to bolster Party governance, reform the political system, and expedite national development efforts.
The committee is engaged in discussions on 13 significant policy areas. These include enhancing State governance, reforming land laws, restructuring the economy, promoting technology-driven growth, protecting the environment, and ensuring national security. Additionally, there will be evaluations of the new political system’s performance and the two-tier local administration model. Proposals to designate Quảng Ninh and Bắc Ninh as centrally governed cities are also on the agenda.
Tô Lâm has urged the committee to make practical and action-oriented decisions that will eliminate development obstacles, unlock national resources, and enhance public services. He emphasized the necessity for all resolutions to be quickly transformed into actionable plans, with defined responsibilities, timelines, and measurable outcomes to ensure effective implementation.
